Fully Priced Estimates

Fully Priced Estimates

When pricing estimates for Concrete Contractors, C.E.S. consults with each client to review the job summary report, to analyze logistics, to discuss equipment required, and to assess productivity rates. When working with General Contractors, Investors and Architects, C.E.S. takes additional precautions to incorporate, budgets, scheduling and design in order to meet all of the realistic goals for each project.

Concrete industry standards of pricing are not always applicable to RS Means rates. In the main markets estimate pricing does change in correlation to the supply and demand metrics. New York is different than Texas, and Texas is different than Florida.

One of the biggest markets is undoubtedly New York City, but it also has the most requirements in terms of engineering and safety. DOB is constantly updating and increasing safety measures. Our team of estimators have vast experience working for contractors in this market, both as estimators, and field labor. Anticipating the unexpected events in the field, provides our clients with a higher understanding of each project in order to help them stand out during buy-out proceedings.

Although the Concrete Business in New York is one of the most demanding in the Construction Industry, some of the longer standing contractors still price estimates on an unit-price basis. In itself, unit-pricing, can be an effective pricing system when done properly. Most concrete contractors that use unit-pricing, do it with values that they have been applying for years. These contractors use familiar values to specific line items but not necessarily accounting for all of the variables for each project. This results in a “one size fits all” approach. This method should be done based on historical data. We provide a unit price system based on item assembly where the project variables are carefully considered.

C.E.S. most sought out services is cost driven pricing. Our pricing system is based on cost tracking historical data from various projects. It has been meticulously gathered over last 5 years from some of the most prestigious contractors in the major markets. Our estimators carefully break down the job in a few major categories that include the required cost coded items for each project, taken from our current database. Our database is regularly updated with the current material pricing from reliable and credible vendors in each of the biggest markets.
