Quantity Takeoffs - Custom & Precise
Main Trades Include:
Cast In Place Concrete
Cast In Place Concrete is quite literally the pillar of most Residential and Commercial structures in the world. It has proven to be the most reliable and cost effective mean of construction throughout many design styles, cultures and even in the harshest environments.
C.E.S. has been involved in some of the most iconic buildings throughout the world, most predominantly within the residential and commercial industries. Our extensive estimating and field experience provide our clients with a substantial advantage when competing in today’s market.
We work with many Concrete Contractors, General Contractors, Architects and Investors to bid, budget, procure and/or consult on all varieties of projects. Concrete Foundations, Superstructures and Site Concrete are some of our most frequent sought out estimates.
Excavation & Disposal
When quantifying Excavation and Disposal, CES analyzes Geotechnical Reports and Soil Boring analytics to determine what type of Soil/Rock has been identified. In most cases, SOE, Structural and Architectural Plans will determine the excavation quantities and size of the project. Our field experience allows us to also include a Logistics Analysis based on location, access, type of street, and size of possible machinery. We cross reference logistics with the nearest, and most feasible locations for acceptance of the disposal to determine the rate of excavation and number of truck loads per day. Spreadsheets can be customized for unit pricing and cost driven pricing. Find Out More
SOE & Piles
Support Of Excavation is the common choice for projects located in areas that sloping excavation is not an option. Projects located close to, or on property lines, next to roads and/or adjacent structures often require engineered SOE. C.E.S. estimators specialize from the most common, Soldier Piles with Rakers, Walers and Timber Lagging SOE, to the most uncommon like Sheet Piling with Tiebacks and Secant Walls.
Another important element in some SOE designs is Underpinning, used mostly when a new project is adjacent (and often deeper in elevation) to another structure. Underpinning consists of supporting another structure’s footing, with sections of concrete carefully placed during the process of excavation in order to keep said structure stable to prevent settling and/or cracks.
Production Piles and Caissons are not always related to the process of supporting excavation. However, the piling process usually overlaps the same timeline. Piles and Caissons serve many purposes. The most common design relate to supporting the structure above when the subgrade soil composition is not stable enough, which can cause building settlement and even collapse.
